Crypto Giving Goes Multichain: Endaoment Expands Beyond Ethereum to Integrate on Base
New York, NY (August 31, 2023) – Endaoment.Org, the first onchain 501(c)(3) nonprofit community foundation and donor-advised fund platform, is expanding its platform to Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 (L2) network incubated within Coinbase. Originally available exclusively on Ethereum, Endaoment’s deployment on Base makes crypto giving more accessible while reducing transaction costs, making small gifts more affordable for donors. The deployment brings more than 7,000 new verified donation endpoints for nonprofits across 150+ countries.
“The future of giving is onchain,” said Robbie Heeger, President and CEO of Endaoment. “With these integrations, Endaoment is making it easier than ever for nonprofits to tap into new donation streams and for donors to receive immediate tax benefits. Never has it been easier or cheaper to open a donor-advised fund on Endaoment, and that’s thanks to the amazing scalability enabled by the OP stack and Base.”
By integrating with a Layer 2 network, Endaoment is opening new donation revenue streams for nonprofits and ensuring more funds go directly to a cause, rather than fees. Going cross-chain allows instant tax deductions for donors giving from Base, increasing accessibility for both donors and developers that want to integrate giving capabilities into their own products.
"The integration of Endaoment on Base isn't just a technical feat; it's a shift in how we approach charitable giving in the digital age," said Jesse Pollak of Base. "We're thrilled to be part of this revolution," said Jesse Pollak of Base.
